Both political parties in Redding will hold Primaries on September 12, 2017. Voting will take place at the Redding Community Center.
The Democrats will choose a candidate to run for a 4 year term on the Board of Finance for the November 7th, 2017 election. Edward Miller is the candidate endorsed by the party, at the Democratic Caucus held July 25th. Incumbent Mark Lewis has filed a petition to run on the Democratic ticket for BoF, and was endorsed by the Democratic Town Committee at their July 25th meeting.
Only registered Democrats may participate in the Democratic primary, and only registered Republicans may participate in the Republican primary. It’s too late for some voters to switch party affiliations, but unaffiliated voters can still choose to register in a party, and still be eligible to vote on September 12. Absentee ballots will be available in Town Hall Tuesday, August 22nd.
The Republicans will choose candidates for a 4 year term on the Board of Education.
