The Democratic Town Committee lost one of our longest-serving and most loyal members at the end of April with the death of Jane Ross. Jane, who served in leadership positions in many groups in Town—most notably the Redding Land Trust and League of Women Voters—still found time to be a regular attendee and scribe for the Redding Democrats for over 20 years. She was fearless in her support for candidates who represented the best Redding, and the nation, had to offer, and she never shied away from a fight if it meant getting things right. She stepped up—even becoming a Constable—when help was needed. A thinker, a worker, a writer, Jane did it all. We will miss her and the bright light she shed on our discussions.
