Chirag earned a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from NYU and worked in education and healthcare technology, where he published research and developed projects adopted by universities nationwide. He later earned his MBA at NYU, winning first place in the Entrepreneurship Challenge for a social venture that combined his passion for helping others with business. After managing a technology team at Bridgewater Associates, he co-founded a consulting company focused on both profit and social impact. Chirag and his wife moved to Redding eight years ago to raise their three sons in a community with excellent schools and a welcoming environment. He began volunteering at the Redding vaccine clinic during the pandemic and was elected to the Redding Board of Education in 2020. Since then, Chirag has focused on supporting schools through pandemic recovery, budget oversight, and regional collaboration, currently serving as Vice Chair of the Board.
